Nathan turns 10 months old!

We kicked last week off with a trip to Sam's Club with Melissa and Jet.  We decided to let the boys ride together in the cart and they did great!  Don't they look so cute!?!?

Lately, Nathan has been crossing his little feet whenever he's sitting.  Whether in his high chair, car seat or stroller...

Here's our big guy on his 10 month birrthday...

Nathan working on his hair...

Still a fan of looking out the front door...

This is how Nathan looks when he's watching for Daddy to come home from work...

He just loves playing with this big top that GreatLee got him for Christmas...

Lovin' on his bear...

Almost Walking!

The Cardinals home opener was this past Monday, April 12th and Nathan got in the spirit of things with his little Cardinals outfit.  Now, although the home opener is a big deal in Cardinals Nation, a bigger deal in the Krestel household was that this marked Nathan's first official foray into meal time with Mommy & Daddy!  He had chicken, brocolli and macaroni and cheese (yes, we again tried Great Grandma Pratt's famous recipe) and he did really well and seemed to like everything!  He's had pasta, tacos, sausage lentil stew, strawberries, watermelon, cheese, cottage cheese, hummus, all kinds of tasty things!

Nathan has been enjoying pushing around this fun bus that Grandma Pratt got him for Christmas...

The thing is nearly as big as he is...

We had so many gorgeous days last week and we took advantage of most of them with daily walks!  I think he just looks so sweet (and tiny) in his stroller!

Please don't report us to DFS!  Nathan was having a ball mopping the floor with his washcloths - I promise it was completely his own idea!

Does this little guy need another haircut or what?!?!

Searching for something to wear in Daddy's closet...

After working with him for weeks, he finally got the game of Peek-A-Boo and started doing it on his own - his favorite time to do it is during meal time; he thinks the sole purpose of his bib is for him to use it for this game...

Peek...

A-Boo!

Nathan's very favorite thing to do these days is walk all around the house with his little walker.  He's stood on his own for a few seconds here and there and tried taking a step recently but fell right away.  He's getting close to walking on his very own, that's for sure!  Here he is in motion...

This past weekend Grandma and Grandpa came down and while Grandpa and Daddy were working on repairing our backyard fence, Grandma, Nathan and I went to Laurie's Shoes and Grandma bought Nathan his very first pair of real shoes!  As you can see, he's a big fan of them...

Aren't they snazzy?!!?

They're Stride Rite but to Grandma's dismay, they're not the good old fashioned white leather cruisers...

Honking his bear's nose...

Grandpa Krestel's 60th Birthday

Here's a picture of Nathan after being thrown up in the air by Daddy multiple times.  As you can see, he's a big fan of that!

Not sure where Nathan picked up this "fish face" but he just started doing it last week at random times.  We think it's hysterical!

Last Friday was so beautiful that Nathan and I decided to just hang outside in the back yard exploring.  Isn't this just a beautiful picture of our little guy!?!?  Get a load of his shirt, it says "Single & Lovin' It"

Nathan was so funny in the grass.  He didn't like his knees touching it so he crawled in this funny position...

What a goof!  I think if we keep him out in the grass he'll probably learn how to walk a lot sooner!

Last Saturday, Grandma & Grandpa Krestel came over to hang out with Nathan while Mommy & Daddy had a little date at the park.  They took a fun walk on the trail right near our house...

On Sunday, we went over Grandma & Grandpa Krestel's to celebrate Grandpa's BIG 60th birthday!  Here's Nathan giving him some lovin' - AWWWW!!!

Nathan watching Grandpa open a birthday card from him...

Hee Hee!  Nathan just loves it when you blow in his face!

Hanging out with the other birthday boy (Uncle Steve's birthday was the day before)...

Having fun with Grandpa...

Nathan doesn't really have time for the bear these days as he's got too much else to do...

Grandma Pratt's Easter Visit

Boy have we been busy!  As you can see, we've been doing lots of playing...

And tormenting the kitty, Hobbes...

And exploring in the bathroom...

And watching cars go by...

One morning Nathan just conked out before nap time while playing in his bouncy seat...

On Thursday, Grandma Pratt came in for a visit from Philly to celebrate Resurrection Sunday with us...

That Saturday, Nathan graduated from hanging out in his car seat while shopping (Mommy used to just put in the shopping cart) to being a big boy and sitting in the front of the cart.  This was probably way past due, but he's just so small that it was easier to keep him in the car seat.  Anyway, he absolutely loves his new place in the cart - he enjoys looking all around the store and seeing so many things that he couldn't see before...

Happy Easter!!!

Nathan getting ready for church (he just has a ball chewing on his shoe laces)...

We went over Grandma & Grandpa Krestel's for dinner and they had a fun Easter basket waiting for Nathan (with some treats for Mommy, Daddy and Grandma Pratt too)...

Nathan seemed to thoroughly enjoy his very first Easter basket...

He dove right in...

And a man after Daddy's own heart, the first thing he pulled out was a Reese's peanut butter cup...

Posing with Grandma Pratt...

Nathan did try some of his Great Grandma Pratt's famous macaroni & cheese for dinner and diappointingly, he wasn't a fan.  But, we got a shot of his fine dining etiquette - as you can see, he likes to just push the food in his mouth...

Grandma & Grandpa Krestel with our little bunny...

Granmda Krestel helped Nathan pick these beautiful dandelions for Mommy...

Grandma Pratt thought she was leaving on Monday but thankfully, she made a little mistake with her reservations and booked her flight for Tuesday instead (I told her that subconsciously, she knew she would need more time with Nathan).  This little mix up delighted Nathan...

Grandma had a gift certificate to Macaroni Grill so we decided to go out for lunch and introduce Nathan to his first resaurant dining experience.  He did such a good job sitting in the high chair...

He patiently waited for the menu...

Perused it with care...

Poured over his selection...

And settled on the banana that Mommy brought...

Along with his tasty water & prune juice...

Because of the extra day and a special diet, Grandma had to buy some more food for her pup, Gidget.  We were cracking up over the bag being bigger than Nathan...

I promise we feed him well, but he was definitely interested in tearing into this puppy chow...

Love this picture!  Nathan's onesie says "Good Looks Run in the Family"...

If you say "Praise The Lord!" this is how Nathan responds (our version of "so big")...

We all think this little guy will be walking sooner than later...

Nathan's starting to man handle the poor bear.  Does Nathan look big to you?  Well, he had his 9-month checkup and he weighed in at 16 lbs. 15.5 oz. (he's a tiny guy...that's only the 3rd %ile) and is 27 3/4 inches long (that's the 27th %ile)...

If you're interested, Nathan's 9-month photo shoot has been posted on our photographer's website http://www.drurystudio.com/  Just go to that site, click on "client log-in" on the top right, scroll down to "Galleries," click on "Nathan - 9 months" and then enter the password - krestel.  Enjoy!
