Introducing Junebug!

Today was an EXCITING day because we had our big ultrasound and got to see our sweet little Junebug! Above are the ultrasound pictures - the first one is Junebug stretching - wow, talk about claustrophobia - looking as snug as a bug (hee hee)! The second one shows a great picture of Junebug's spine which is forming perfectly - doesn't it look like he/she (only God and the ultrasound tech know which one) is praying?!?! So sweet!!! The third picture shows Junebug chillin' out on his/her back with legs crossed indian style (this was the first picture that was taken, before Junebug got woken up and was very active the rest of the ultrasound). The last picture is of Junebug's feet. The tech and the radiologist said everything looked great and the measurements were right on for a baby at 19.6 weeks. Junebug's estimated weight is 11.3 ounces. It's beyond words to see the miracle that God is knitting in my womb! We are so thankful that He has chosen to bless us with this child!

Week 19

Well, here I am at week 19...I can't believe we're getting ready to head into the middle of the pregnancy - it's going way too fast!!! You may be wondering what I'm wearing around my waist - it's called a Bella Band and it's a fabulous invention (for those of you who had a baby more than 3 years ago this is probably new to you - and men, this is definitely new to you!). It allows you to wear your pre-pregnancy pants well into your pregnancy (as long as they fit over your thighs and bootie) - you just zip them up as far as they'll go and then put the bella band over the zipper/button and as far up on your belly as you want (it stretches pretty far). It's been working really well for me and I'm so thankful for it! We go in for our "big" ultrasound this Friday to have the baby measured and make sure everything looks healthy, so be on the lookout for an ultrasound pic (hopefully a 3-D one!).

Where is my belly button???

Well folks, I was sitting on the couch with Kevan last night and I looked down and my belly button was MIA! It used to be a nice "inny" but now it's just kind of closed up...not quite flattened out yet and definitely not at the "outtie" stage yet, but it's definitely a noticeable change. Fun! Fun! I'm loving all these changes - seriously - it's just so amazing! Thank you God for the magnificance of pregnancy and all that goes along with it!

Week 18

Well, here we are at week 18...I cannot believe we're almost half way through our pregnancy - it has been FLYING! I'm the cliche pregnant woman, craving pickles and ice cream (but not together) and I can't get enough red meat - I'm especially crazy about Mexican food (could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday!). I am really enjoying being pregnant - I JUST LOVE IT and am embracing all of it!

Belly Week 17

Well, we're at week 17 and as you can see both my belly and my chin are a little bigger and rounder! I'm feeling fabulous this week and I'm really enjoying my 2nd trimester. We spent this past weekend starting to check out furniture for the nursery (very overwhelming) and starting to think about things we'll need to register for (it's amazing to think about how much this little baby is going to need)! Since we're not finding out the sex I think we're going to paint the nursery yellow...looks like a trip to Lowe's is in our very near future!

Belly Week 16

Hi everyone and thanks for visiting our pregnancy blog! Since so many of you are helping us celebrate our pregnancy long distance we thought we would include you on my growing belly and everything that goes along with it. These are exciting times and we're thrilled to share them with you. Enjoy!
